Vision:
PSPC aims to create a supportive, safe space for dedicated dancers to deepen their craft, build connections, confidence, and technique and uplift the community through performance opportunities.
Placement Auditions:
Please review the expectations and requirements of PSPC members, as a family, to ensure you are ready, willing, and able to be a committed member of the company.
Auditions are open to kids and teens from 4th - 12th grade. Everyone auditioning must fill out the audition form and complete a waiver prior to placement auditions.
Location: Poppy and Sage Studio
Date: Sunday May 31st
Time (be sure to find your correct age group*):
4th-5th grade: 1:00-2:00pm
6th-8th grade: 2:00-3:00pm
9th-12th grade: 3:00-4:00pm
Auditions will provide dancers an opportunity to show their skills, enthusiasm, and creativity in dance. Be prepared to participate in instructor-led across floor exercises, choreography, and free dance.

Dancer Commitments:
Attend classes consistently with full engagement (physically, mentally, and emotionally)
Foster a respectful, welcoming environment for all team members, instructors, families and dancers at Poppy and Sage Studio
Strive for personal growth and improvement
Support PSPC’s development and success
Poppy and Sage Studio’s Commitments:
Provide a nurturing and inclusive space for learning
Offer skilled and compassionate instruction
Support each dancer’s artistic and personal growth
Organize multiple opportunities for performances, including community performances, and exclusive dance opportunities, including conventions and intensives/workshops
Company Requirements & Fees
All PSPC members are required to commit to the full dance season (July to June).
Specific company requirements are outlined below.
Junior Company
Classes:
Required: 2 weekly technique classes (dancers choice) + company rehearsal (60-min per week)
Recommended: least 1 dance class in a traditional technique (e.g. ballet, jazz)
Company Dances: 2-3 company dances total; these are taught during company rehearsals and/or intensive dance workshops
Performances: 4-5 performances per year
Conventions: attendance at Revel Dance Convention in January
Senior Company
Classes:
Required: 2 weekly technique classes (dancers choice) + company rehearsal (60-min per week)
Recommended: least 1 dance class in a traditional technique (e.g. ballet, jazz)
Company Dances: 2-3 company dances total; these are taught during company rehearsals and/or intensive dance workshops
Performances: 4-5 performances per year
Conventions: attendance at Revel Dance Convention in January + additional spring dance convention (TBD)
Senior dance company will be given the option to submit a competition piece at one or two conventions
Additional Costs
Annual PSPC Membership: $125
Warmups: $100
Company Dances: $265/dance; includes week or weekend intensive workshop and costume
Competition/Convention Fees: $500-$1200 (varies by event)
Fundraising: One annual event (previously covered one competition & costume fee per dancer)
Payment & Tuition Options
PSC is committed to making dance accessible in an inclusive, creative, and supportive environment. We will do our best to keep costs as low as possible while meeting or exceeding our commitments to PSPC and all dancers. If your child is a passionate and joyful dancer, but finances are prohibitive, please reach out to Susan directly to discuss financial options including but not limited to the options listed here.
Auto-billing: Credit card on file is required for monthly payments, performances, and fees.
Multi-Class Discount: 15% off additional class enrollments (except company rehearsals and intensives)
Financial Aid: Tiered pricing is available (based on honor system); classes available at 85% enrollment price. If additional assistance is needed, please contact us.
